June 2006 issue of PC Gamer - the next RTS game in the Command & Conquer series, simply titled "C&C3". Apparently it is going to be apart of the Tiberian storyline. Can't wait for this, Tiberian Sun is what got me into RTS games.

oh man i've been waiting for Tiberian Dusk (the working title for C&C 3) for years, ever since Sun came out.

Too me, the Tiberian series *is* Command and Conquer, since it was, well, the first one.

Tiberian Sun is such an awesome game, I like it more then StarCraft, I just hate the AI. Its so dumb, and cheats like crazy. I also loved the original, I'd play that online for hours.

I've just been playing Red Alert (I) in the past few months. One of the only games that runs well on my PC haha.

The only thing bad about it was the AI, which was really crappy IMO and cheated like hell. My friend and I would team up against several AIs, I'd be GDI and he'd be NOD. He'd cloak his entire base, and the AI would still do Ion and Missle strikes against vital structures.

But if there was only the human involved, then it was probably one of the greatest RTSs of all time. Cool units, nice enviornment, deformable terrain....whats not to like?

Though the original C&C has the best video game music of all time. Mechanical Man? Genious! :thumb: :cool:

I didn't like:

The story.
The characters.
The environments.
Basically everything about it I disliked.

I was pretty good at Red Alert 2, I starting playing in 2001. I got about rank 20 or something once.

well I only played the GDI campaign until like mission 5, but got bored with it. As I said, the AI sucks. I mostly play it with my good friend.

The one thing I remember was that James Eorl Jones was on a space station!

This was supposed to be released right after Generals, and EA never made it official.

But, this I believe.

I might have to play it. I miss Ra2.

EA closed Westwood Studios in March 2003 after Command & Conquer: Renegade failed to meet their expectations. Petroglyph was formed by ex-Westwood employees after the studio was closed.

Haha, me too.

The old artillery were great, you only needed a few to make your base pretty much invulnerable to ground attacks.

I loved those invisible stealth things on NOD, I'd get like a squad of 8 and just cause hell.

The turrets were amazing, but could be taken down by a bunch of grenade people on GDI. I love using the nuke, that thing was awesome
