I'm looking for some good basslines that are really dark, and heavy. More emphasis on the dark part than heavy though.
I'm thinking something of sort of metal, or metalcore sorta sound, but feel free to give me suggestions from other musical genres aswell.
Thanks.

Some random delayed line...?
Not sure if you'd consider any of those dark, but...

I don't know how to describe them. Just listen and you be the judge.

Maybe, My Friend of Misery and Devil's Dance by Metallica are dark enough for you. I'm sorry if that didn't help.

The song Phobophile by Cryptopsy. The intro bassline is about as dark as it can get, then instantly goes into about the heaviest darkest thing possible.
If yoy want something less death metal-y though, try the song Wolf by Iced Earth.

why the **** didn't I think of that?!?!
Acid Bath are great.
Scream of the Butterfly is an excellent song. So is anyother song they ever did, but that one is probably the best for the "dark" sound.

the song isint, but ive always found the opening bassline of Slither by Velvet Revolver to be quite "dark" sounding
almost anything by Opeth, Alice in Chains, Necrophagist or Children of Bodom
