will it wreak a bass amp if you play a guitar through it? I would ahve thought so but i thought i heard somewhere that it will not wreak the amp but that if you were to play a bass into a guitar amp it would wreak the guitar amp,so whats the deal here?

Bass amps can handle more frequencies than guitar amps.

No it won't.
I play my guitar through my bass amp all the time. It's fine.

I've sold my guitar amp in favor of my bass amp, it's so much more clearer and spankly.
I miss the disortion I got from that Randall though :(

I play guitar through one of my bass amps.
Gives a nice bass to it which is useful as it's in C.

If your using dist. and have a tweeter they advise you turn it off though. (the tweeter)

Even if you play it on the highest note really loud?

with no tweeter, you might get a pretty muddy, deep, and fuzzy tone, but i'm not sure . . . and even if you do, i don't know about you, but i personally like a sludgy guitar tone :) . . .

If it was good enough for Jimi Hendrix and Stevie RFay Vaughan, then it must be OK.
Seriously, both of them played through older Fender Bassman amps with excellent results. As a matter of fact, quite a few blues greats use older bass amps.

as many people have said, bass amps can handle more frequencies than guitar amps, and since you don't have a tweeter, your 15 inch woofer can probably handle the signal fine from your guitar (it probably will get muddy). if you're really desperate though, you can just shell out $40 for a mini guitar amp :thumb: . . .
