Ok, so this summer I'm planning on finishing making my pedalboard set up finally by getting the remaining pedals I want and then designing and building a board for it (which pictures will be posted up as I do that). So here's the situation. I already have the following pedals:

Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner
Boss LMB-3 Limiter/Enhancer
Morley Dual Bass Wah
Boss ODB-3 Overdrive
Boss CEB-3 Chorus
Boss BF-3 Flanger

so what I want to add on is the following:
Boss DD-3 Delay pedal (that's set in stone)

some type of a guitar distortion pedal (thinking line 6 uber metal at the moment, unless anybody else has a good reccomendation)

i'm going to switch my boss LMB-3 with a different compressor, which I'm thinking will be the Aphex Punch Factory

I want a sansamp, thinking the programmable one because i can have 3 different sounds with switches for only like 10 bucks more, unless anybody has had a bad experience with it or thinks the regular sansamp will do fine. Plus I want the overdrive in it as well

also, i was thinking about the aphex bass Xciter, which I hear can really boost your sound quality, but i wasn't sure if it would be overkill or just a plain bad idea with all that I have listed above

so any reccomendations will be appreciated (like a different compressor, guitar distortion thing, etc), or if there's anythign else I'll need to add on to my setup pedalwise (like a noise supressor perhaps)

thanks

if you're getting a delay pedal i HIGHLY recommend the line 6 echo park

I have a DD-3, I love it.

And I use a Digitech Bass Driver distortion unit, which is ace.

I either have a DD-3 or DD-6 and love it too, especially the hold feature

ok, cool. I'm pretty much dead set on the delay, but I'll give the line 6 a try. I was wondering more about the other things listed below, i guess that's more of a question for edgebass, but thanks so far

Me too. So great. D you ever use the Ampeg growl preset in the manual? My equipment is nowhere near yours, so you probably don't need it.... It jsut sounds really good to me.

bleh. I hate that pedal. I used to use it, but it sounds so.......blegh.

My favorite dist. pedal is the MXR M-104 Distortion+

haha, i agree that the digitech distortion sucks... but i really don't need one at all, becuase the boss ODB3 kills all

If you're going to get a compressor, DO NOT get a pedal version. Spend the little extra dough and get a rack mount unit. The pedal compressors suck.

Also, remember this, moving effects arond in the chain will yield different results. That is to say, going Distortion>compressor>delay>flange will yield a different sound than going Delay>distortion>flange>compressor.

I only really use it when I want to emulate Geddy lee's Wal tone, but it's ace at doing that. It beat the hell out of every other distortion pedal I tried.
