ello people i hink ive got a prob i recently restringed ma guitar but there seems the strings seem kinda banged at teh bottom i dont know the right name for it so that would be handy if someone could tell me and heres a pic if anyone has a solution thx sorry it aint really good quality but basically its like the strings are squashed thats the best way i can put it

You mean the squiggles at the bottom of the strings? Were they there before they put the strings on and you just didn't notice? Because many bass strings have an extra winding of wire that helps stabalize the string at the bottom. That's prolly all it is.
Edit: I just checked my strings. To hold the brass ball on, they use a thin piece of wire. This wire has to be incorperated into the string or else it'll just fall off. That's why your strings look "squashed".

and sometimes, cloth is used to cover that part.

yeah donno why i wrote guitar lol ive been playin for a good while to know the difference:P just the string has been annoyin me for a while wasnt sure if stringed them right
