Will I damage my bass amp? Stop me before I do!

I am going to try a guitar effects pedal with my bass in 5 minutes. I know it won't sound as good as with a guitar, but I wanna see what happens. But it says it's a high gain pedal. Will this damage my bass amp? If it will, somebody stop me before I try it. I'm off to try it in 5 minutes!

No, it will just add gain to your tone.

it wont do anything bad, it just wont sound as good, and itll add high end and gain like chris said.

The only damage possible to the amp would be to clipping.
