I've taken a sample of one of my songs, and I'm passing it around the forums in hopes of getting some opinions. It starts with the Intro and skips past the Verse, which isn't done yet, and goes into the first Chorus.

This is one of my soft songs.
Almost everything else I do is extremely heavy, hence the reason I'm in Drop B Tuning.

Someone in the Guitar Forum said there was too much hi-hat.
What do you think?

Anyway, I'm using whatever cymbals come with Beatcraft the Drum Programmer.
Just says Crash 1 and Crash 2.
Also has Sizzle Crash, China, and a bunch of Rides.

I can't play Drums and have no Drummer.

This is solo stuff by just me.

And I have no Drums or else I'd learn.

and when I said I couldnt hear the drums, I meant most of it except for the cymbals....

yeah definitely cut the ride/hats (whatever it is -- almost sounds like a hybrid) to half time. they are a bit loud too, I think. maybe 75% of the current volume would be nice, especially since the guitar seems a bit muffled while the cymbal sounds are so bright and crisp...really makes em pop up so much more.

yes, song wayyyy to slow for drumming that fast! and the ride actually doesnt suit the song, try the hi-hat ;)

more drums, less cytmbals in the mix. and yeh cut back on the drumming overall

Yep agreed. And i thought the cymbal hit was a bit loud...not soft.
