Haha, i was just playing on my drumset, and i noticed that my snare didnt have the sound that i wanted it, and it seemed a little different, so i said ok, il re-tune my heads, and i go and look at the resonant head, and theres the muffler thingy broken off, which went thru the reso head. I actually find it kinda funny, because i dont know how the muffler could have broken off like that, but it didnt do much anyways. Surprisingly my snare doesnt sound HORRIBLE with the reso head having a decent hole in it. But to make this thread useful, and to learn a little, what do you guys suggest as a new snare reso, i know the snare side amb is popular along with the evans 300 hazy one. What would be the differences between the thickness of the heads, like a 200 hazy and a 300 hazy?

200 hazy is a thinner head, it is to the 300 what the diplomat is to the ambassador: a slightly thinner 1ply head.

I reccomend a 300.
300 = Snare Side Ambassador
200 = Thinner than 300.
The 200 is going to have more sensitivty and dynamics , and more ring to it
