View Full Version : It's Finally Spring in Minnesota...

It's about 75 degrees here, perfectly sunny, and there's only a slight breeze, so I decided to take my drumset out to my yard. I tried not to annoy the neighbors, so I didn't get to do a whole lot of playing, but it was nice to see them outside.
The only problem I encountered was that my lawn is horribly uneven, so everything was all out of whack a bit, so that might explain some of the characteristics of my set in the pictures...
Anyway, here's my more than modest drumset in all it's glory. Enjoy!

Looks nice! I'd like to take my kit for a walk but there's no real yard behind my shop.

I'm surprised noone's given me crap about how my 13" tom is attached.....lol
I'm still happy with my refinishing job, I just wish I had the knowledge of refinishing I did now, and some of the tools (power sander, especially) that I have now.

A little except CombatWombat3 is the "pioneer" of drum refinishing, making that thread and all
Nice kit, except I don't see what's wrong with your 13" tom mount? It's a little low although it seems like that's the best you can get it...

Hahaha.....I appreciate the credit....
See....that tom is actually held to the hat stand by multi-ties....so I did the best I could with positioning...

Well the credit is well deserved! If I ever decide to refinish a drum I'll definitely print out your guide! :chug:
I didn't notice the ties  I thought it was just a multi-clamp, not multi-ties :p It's good improvisation though :smash:
