OK so what do all of you think about Ayotte drums in relation to Pearl, DW, Tama, or Sonor? I just wanted to know how much respect they had in the world of drums, because I just played an Ayotte 4piece and I really liked it.

Your thoughts?

Ayotte are IMO Extremely high end kits. I think most of them have wood hoops on all of there drums. I think Ayotte Beats all of those companies you were talking about.

I know Matt Cameron endorsed them for a while when he was in Soundgarden. That's all I really know about Ayotte though.

Taye was started by the former owner and founder of Ayotte, Ray Ayotte.

Don't you own a Maryland set? Not as expensive as Ayotte, just as nice and it's a beauty!

I am pretty sure he plays a 5 piece (2 floor toms).

Thanks. I love my Conaway. But Ayotte still makes some damn fine drums. Check out Styx's drummer's huge Ayotte with wood hoops on the "21st Century Live" DVD sometime.
