Hello all.

I was wodnering about two things.

I noticed since ive been practising my singing my vocals don't shake anymore. Does this show a sign of correct practice/improvement ?

Also

I noticed when i took a polomint it kinda relaxed my throat. Anything in that or is it just me ?

Thanks For Help

Well it could just be your cords getting a little stronger. Usually if you shake its a sign of improper breath support and/or a high tense throat. Keep practicing. ANd try to relax as much of your throat as you can.

Forget about anything oral relaxing anything to do with your vocal cords which are in your trachea behind your adams apple...regardless of what anyone tells you.

Well define "shake" exactly. Do you mean shake like you're having trouble holding the note and your voice is about to crack? Or do you mean shake like how opera singer's voices shake when they sustain notes? This is called vibrato and as far as I've learned, vibrato is a good thing to have. Vibrato is a natural; having vibrato shows that you are using proper breath support and proper open throat singing to hit your notes. If you find when you practice you have less/no vibrato then before you could actually be practicing the wrong way.

Does your throat hurt after you finish singing? Does your voice crack frequently on high notes? Do you find yourself less able to hit higher notes at the end of your practice sessions, then at the beginning? If you answered yes to any of these, it might be tell-tell signs that you're practicing wrong.

As for the mint, if you feel like a mint improves your singing, then by all means use it. :)

Sometimes my voice will struggle to hit a note but it seems to have improved alot over the past few months.

Ive been told it is Vibrato maybe i just need more practice.

Ive been described to have a voice like Kelly Jones (Stereophonics) just not as rusty if you get me.
