It recently broke.

It just can't read the disc, so I probably have to clean the lense, but I suck at being a handyman is their anywhere I can take it to get it fixed relatively cheaply?

Or am I just going to have to look through the yellow pages for some business?

Does Costco do it?

I'm pretty sure Sony will do it for you. You can probably send it in and they will do it for you. If you still have the box and reciept then you can bring it back to where you bought it and they will most likely just give you a new one.

I have had this for 2 1/2 years, and we've moved a lot, I have no idea where the box and receipt are. I have no idea where my parents bought it from because they're divorced now and I got it for x-mas.

Should I just buy a new one?

The new ones are $150 I think and they are the slim version. They are pretty nice. Maybe you should just start saving now for a PS3. I think theyre coming out next fall.

Just clean the lens yourself, it'll take 10 minutes to disassable and reassemble the PS2 and you wont need to go the the trouble of taking it into a store (plus DIY = free).

Calm down, you're making it sound as if the thing is an unexploded bomb.

If you accidentaly pull out the wires for the power on/off/reset button (the 'silver ribbon') you can just plug it back in, no problem.

Its time consuming, but free and easy, but if you get lucky it will be in no time at all.

Mine broke a few months ago.. started making an awesome buzzing noise and my games would just freeze. Then I'd have a disc read error. Then it just stopped working altogether. If it does that, you're screwed.

I've had no problems with my slim so far..

You should be able to find one for about $100 used/refurbished (I think). I bought mine new and it was either $130 or $150.

Styles started the [Merk] clan. They're pretty good. The Gods are back, and they beat ['f|E|] apparantly. Doom went back to qp. uhhhh..... that's about it.

I don't play that much unless it's on the weekend. Everyone skips around on my screen when I'm at my apartment, but I don't lag on anyone else's screen.. I play at bignig's apartment. It's so much easier when nobody skips around!

Is Fear back? I haven't seen the Fear tag, but I heard the clan was back. Where did Ice Pick go?

I have no idea.. Cancer is in it. I guess they beat us pretty bad. You probably read that at xpertgamers. A lot of the old Fear guys joined with us, but kona is the only one who was in your top 8 (I think?).

I thought about dropping my tag and going without a clan for a while because I don't play that much.
