Ok, so my dad is getting me a gift basically for doing good in school, and i said i wanted a multitrack to record stuff, and he basically is giving me a budget of 500 dollars (USD) to do whatever i want with, but i have to like present him my idea and everything that i would need and so on.
So my question i guess is what exactly would be everything I need, i play drums and bass and a little guitar, so i would be playing all three instruments.
I know i would get a multitrack recorder, which i havent picked out, but my biggest concern would be how could i record my drumset while staying under the budget?
Would a drumset sound ok if you just had one mic, or should i go with like a bass mic and an overhead?
Ideas would be greatly appreciated, thnx in advance.
