I have the IC junior single pedal, it's lasted me for a really long time and I've never had any problems with it.

It's not worth it, IMO. Just save up till you can get the regular IC.

I got the IC Jr. when I first started. About a year and a half later, one of the pieces in the connecting rod broke. Instead of just replacing it though, I sold it and got the regular IC.
I've had this IC for around 2 years now, and I actually travel with it. The Jr. broke before I was in a band, but now I'm constantly moving it and not a single problem with the pedal yet.

The case however... yea, that's about done. :D
I'll need to get a new case soon.

HP200 pedals - Great value for money, great pedals.

If you don't really care about the extra features, which I don't see how you'd need them, I've gotten along just fine with my IC Jr. dual kick. They come with all the nessisary features like spring tension, beater angle and footboard angle too, which is enough for me right now.

Their cheap and built like tanks, I've had mine for like over 2 years with no troubles and constant wailing. I'd like to upgrade soon though.

Plan B - you nailed it right on the beanie. You are not going to get a significantly better pedal with the Iron Cobra. What you get is the same pedal with double chain, more adjustment options and a slightly better bearing system. Other than that, expect NO increase in durability or comfort by simly spending more money.

I sell the HP200 pedals practically every day and they hold their own where it really counts. They are seriously a great value pedal.

As an alternative, try the Sonor 400 series pedal. Funky design but very smooth and durable.

Exactly

As long as it works and holds up who cares what it is.

IC jr are not bad at all, but its not a long term pedal.
