theres the tab section at mxtabs, cd reviews, and a classified setion that no one ever looks at.
Not to burst your bubble but you make it sound like a bad thing that your old band wanted to plays songs and not show off which seems a little odd to me. Maybe your new band just plays more comlex stuff and that would be cool but going to a battle of the "bands" and worrying about winning an individual award would be missing the point. How did your band do, you only talked about yourself?

Wait, you want a band to write songs that make you look good, and so that it dont suit that band.....

Well done on winning, but maybe if all you wanna do is show off, then drums aren't your thing? It seems a bit weird going in with a "band" and just to get something for yourself. As long as your band are happy with it all, then congrats

God, I'm sorry, but this forum is going to hell. I can't go to a single thread without seeing atleast two or three dip****s who type LiEk ThiS. And age has nothing to do with being a bad poster. It's more maturity and intelligence.

Anyway, im 14 and ive never posted with spelling like that. It proves iplaybass9340 is correct and he also has a point about in every thread, someone posts like that.

But Queens isn't really a city. Just a district of NY.
Congratulations on the win! I myself won a drummer award back when I was competing in band comps. Enjoy the glory but always remember, its not really that important to be a stand out performer in your band when the purpose of the band is to make music as a group. The more experience you gain, the more youll realise that awards (and comps in general) are only good for experience, and rarely mean anything more in the grand scheme of things.
Nonetheless, once again - congratulations! Now its your job to educate all crowds on the remarkable talent that drummers possess.
