Set that HHX crash up.
Why wouldn't you use it?

Try raising your throne after you flatten your toms. I actually don't think your angles are bad except for the first pic, which is obviously old.

Nice kit. If the price is right, I might be interested in that HHX.

How much are you asking for it?

I've never really liked the Raw Bell Dry Ride that much. The bow sounds great, but I've always thought the bell is kind of weak.

The awesome bell on my HH Rock Ride is part of why I love it so much.

How short? Most people don't sit up straight when they play. Get a large mirror and watchyourself to check that.

Posture is a HUGE difference in playing.

Woah man, my computer must really be ****ed haha.... anyways, I agree with what Josiah said about the mirror. I just recently moved my kit so that it's right beside my closet, which has huge mirror doors on it. Very, very helpful. :thumb:

I didn't put it up because it's the exact same cymbal as the HHX that's already up there. And I need the money for a new ride. The angles look like ****....but the picture makes them look worse thn they really are. They work for me. Lemme hear some pirces for the cymbals and I'll consider. Oh, btw, the HHX is the best crash I've ever heard.

So short that if I raise my throne anymore, my foot kind of barely touches the pedal, making it hard to control.

^^^ It's okay. We all have to start somewhere on the gear pyramid. A few pay checks and/or lawn jobs and a new ride or set of hi-hats becomes a reality. Especially with Ebay!

The mounting system is very different. Also, his bass size. Another is probably the way they play. That tom angle may look bad to some in those pictures although no one has seen him play on the kit... That has a major effect on how things are set-up, how he plays, his height, arm length, leg length, etc.

Nice kit and cymbals :)

Wait I'm confused... You didn't understand me?

I just won't wait for the answer, whether you did or not.

You said all this stuff about all the factors that come into play when setting up the drums. How we've never seeen them play.

All we've seen of this guys kit is just his kit. Nothing else. We can't base all of our answers just on the information we are given can we? After all.. You did say it yourself did you not?

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything. I just want people to see different sides other than the typical HOLY TOM ANGLES BATMAN.

Nor am I saying having bad tom angles are bad. My friend set up my set once, and he put the tom incredibly high, which greatly hindered my playing ability.

Thank You.

Lol Okay. Well don't I feel a bit foolish. My bad.

But regardless.. Just felt like saying it. Just so people could read it and think about it. And perhaps comment.

Sorry for the Hijack ts. Just felt like a good time.

Nice kit once again if that makes you feel anybetter ;).

Especially digging the finish.

I assume he plays trad considerin he played from the early 1900's and was a jazz drummer. Therefore his angle is justified

Defeated by superior knowledge. I don't see how the floor tom would make a difference though.

I was referring to the rack tom. However that pic the bass drum looks rather large so the angle is again justified.
