Grab a listen to Grim's lead work on Laura Fly, he added some really nice
signature parts, imo, esp in the intro, lovely.
Did an insomnia mix the other nite, intend to do some more,
but chose a really suitable sound for his
dry-recorded LesPaul part in Guitar Rig vst, and am happy enough
at the moment with it, intend to play around with it some
more tho, cuz all I did were volume edits on ONE of Grim's takes.
I have about ten more takes to shine up with,
but for now, hope you enjoy, feel free to make commentitos.

LAURA FLY

Who says you
Can fly through the sky
I wanna know

Who says we're the same
Riding the same plane
I wanna know

Who dreams in color
Skies that never fall
Must be sitting in an elegant hall
Where dreams are for real
Tho awkward is the night
As it tumbles over dying day
Who says

Laura fly
Deep blue sky
I feel the coming rain
Laura flies down to the earth
And comes back again and again

Take off your wings for a while
Dazzle me with your wizened smile
Dream with me of an eagle's eye
Looking down below to a restless child

Laura fly
Deep blue sky
I feel the coming rain
Laura flies down to the earth
And comes back again and again

thx bro, long time no see..
This was a quick mix but for comparison, once Ive finished spring cleaning, you'll hear it really finalised, I think I have about 16 more takes of his middle lead, I'll be making that part better. Love his intro and callbacks.

Good song, not great, but good.
The production was good, too...but has a few issues.
The vocal was poor...but the harmonies were good.
The lead guitar was excellent!
good work, but the song itself is a bit weak.
Better vocals would help, but I'm not sure it's gonna make that much difference. Keep on working on your craft, you have the right idea, but needs more. something else. dunno

thx for the comments, it is what it is. :)
check out the newest mix if u wish, that last one was just the lead over an mp3, quick mix truly!
This one is of the lead imported into the master, therefore you can now hear the keys, bass, drums better.

latest mix is up on my myspace page, soundclick is having issues, will update there later. As I think about it, I would be very happy if you guys would listen again, those who have, and compare if you can, see if u agree with me that it is a better one.
