There isn't really anything useful someone can tell you, except listen to what you want to sound like. Find the chord voicings most commonly used, look at how they get ideas across through lyrics. But don't copy the lyrical topics, more just look at the literary techniques (metaphor, simile, alliteration, etc) used to get the idea across.
I'm guessing your view of pop-punk, like most people's, is resting on the idea that it revolves around girls. Remember, you can talk about your relationship through metaphor, and not literal statements like "the night you left me, blah blah blah". Create an elaborate story, symbolizing what happened through other fictional events.
Things to look at would be such songs as The Tide by The Spill Canvas, and Play Crack The Sky by Brand New.
Hope this helps and didn't seem too abrupt!

what is the least i need to know to write an acousti-pop punk song?Do something new within the genre or don't do anything. And maybe writing lyrics that are a step above a diary entry would be a good way to begin.

Im guessing thats a typo, if not then WTF?
anyway writing pop punk lyrics isnt about "I love you but you went away" as others have said, in fact lyrics of all genres require time patience and most of all creativity. Time and patience really means a lot of work and trial and error, the first few songs you write most likly will deserve to go write next to a simple plan song but that doesnt matter patience and you will write good stuff
creativy simple means dont write like simple plan (I'm having an anti simple plan day) you can write about a long lost love without using the words "i miss you" the day you went away" "ill never forget you" "i love you" " you tore my heart out" any of that shiit, you can write using imagary and relate it right back to your topic
this takes practice and a lot of writing
sorry Ive blabbered on a bit but Ill leave you with one last thing, writing is an art and you have to learn it before you can master it
good luck
