Pwned by school and work. That's all I do. Get up, go to class, go home, do homework, go to work, go to bed. It's a glorious existence. :p But class is done... just two exams to write and then I'm free, except I'll be working full time this summer. Lol. But it'll fund a new amp, so it's all good.

I'm feeling Frippy today. What if you took a delay peday, used a stereo split on the input and output and connected one output into one input. Basically you would have the regular signal in and out and a regular signal in and back in, and, when delayed, it too would be sent out as well as back in, ad infinum. I really want to try this, with some work, it might sound interesting. :thumb:

The only thing you'll need is a way to plug the yellow RCA into a projector or whatever, but yeah, it'll do the trick, I've done such a rig several times. Just ask for a stereo 1/4 inch phone male to 2 RCA female at radio shack or even walmart. Any response on the delay rig, surely someone here has the resources to do this. :(

Jody LeCompte

If one were to use two of these on a delay pedal, one on input and one on output, plug your instrument to one input, plug one output to one amp, then connect the remaining output to the remaining input, what would happen?

There's actually a delay on my lovely digitech bp200, I just need the cables, but I need the splits and a regular 1/4 inch to connect the two. Is that supposed to be "any"? Right now, it sort of means "what you want".

im buying an Avatar 4x10 with 1400 watts RMS power. That way I can crank my Eden up to 750, and if thats still not enough Ill have room to double it.

As far as effects, Im real picky about what effects I get in pedals and rack mounted. Im also picky about having them seperate.

Alright then. I first checked the thread out at school so I couldn't get the pics. I'd go darkstar in the neck and p in the middle, cause I like variety. Also the stock single coils are probably hard to come by, so are you going to replace, just leave it be, or remove and get a new pickguard?

I see what you're saying, it does one thing, but it does it very well. So what's left, there's only one pickup, so there's no series/parallel switch. A new bridge is probably in order, probably a badass I or II, or keep it simple with a hipshot. New tuners wouldn't hurt either, especially if it's really old, it probably won't hold tuning too well either. That's really all that comes to mind if you're keeping to a vintage mentality, less really is more. :chug:

It's ok, the movie pretty much sucked. If you've seen "Ray" (the Ray Charles movie with Jamie Foxx) they're pretty much the same. Ray and Johnny had really similar lives!

Well... all it takes is one of thousands of free sound-recording programs from the 'net... <_< >_>

"Latin" doesn't work for me. It's stuck at "buffering" forever. All the other works, though. I'm digging "Space". Is that tapping in the background?

And I was the first ever to listen to "Two"! Go me.

Great tapping tone. My tapping always comes out either too trebly and clacky, or too boomy and indefinite, no to mention sloppy. Oh well.

Rollo47
04-13-2006, 08:28 AM
It's difficult to get it right - some basses just aren't right for tapping. I find that if it's clacky, raising the action just a tad will help. The altered tuning seems to help, I think - that, and tenor basses, I find, are always better for tapping.

BenJammin
04-13-2006, 08:38 AM
My Peavey taps really well when it has flats on, but I don't overly enjoy the sound of flats tapped just because it muddies up way too fast sometimes.

Because it's too small a question to start a thread: Will this head (http://www.zzounds.com/item--ASDMAG300H) work with this cab (http://www.zzounds.com/item--ASDMAG410T) without any ohm-trouble and whatnot?

let's see

($8.30 x 8) + ($12.45 x 4) + ($16.60 x 4) = $182.60 in one day.

That doesn't seem like that much.

But that's about half of my usual weekly pay, so that's cool.

Then I will be able to afford the Barts I want for my 7-string.

I think I may just do one pickup, because it's kind of expensive.

There are lots of online stores that sell pokémon yet, or so I believe. Look it up.

I've been trying, I can't seem to find it. That is a good sign actually, shows it might be rarer than I though. :)

Which card is it?

I can only find the standard version of it... I have this rare white star thing, it was worth about £25 when I got it years ago... If I am lucky I might get £50 for it these days.

A Japanese here comes team rocket trainer with a white star in the bottom right. It is much rarer than the usual versions of it.

I used to be a Pokemon card fanatic when I was like 11.

I sort of got into them, but not really.

I remember that a Charizard used to go for something like $60 around here.

I remember when I got a Color Gameboy and the Pokémon game... played it in church all Christmas morning. My parents weren't so happy, though.

Never got into the card game, though. I was a bit too old for the cartoony style and the bright colors when it came out. Magic was so much cooler.

MTG I got into much later... Then I couldn't be arsed.

Those suits have their heads so far up their ***, it defies all reason and logic. Not a single decent argument from any of them. No wonder Zappa pwns them.

Yes, it's the best bass I've ever played, I haven't played any extremely high end basses though.
