It's funny, I've always hated that combination too, but then I saw Alma's SR5 under stage light and fell in love. Then this baby popped up on the Bass Centre website and I pounced. Can't wait to slap a black scratchplate on it and go to work!

Ive found that on basses on like the headstock matches the colour of the neck. Thats why i love all maple necks and the necks on Fender Jazz Specials, because they match.

It depends what you do with it - the style that the majority of solo bassists play isn't for everyone, but there is a lot more that you can do with it.

Lemoley: I'm great. My back is giving me a bit of trouble, but I'm great. Finally managed to get some songs uploaded onto MySpace, which is good, so I've spent a bit of time tweaking the page a bit.

I've had a lot of problems with my back and neck over the last few years. I'm not entirely sure what set it off this time - possibly from lifting crates of chickens at work, but I'm not sure. I thought it had gotten better, but I must have twisted it when I got out of my bandmate's van today, because the pain is back with a vengeance. Ah well.

That's fair enough, but to say you don't dig any of it seems kinda silly, because really, I doubt you've heard every solo player out there. Pedantry, I know, but it's true.

I have just as much respect for a bassist who can just sit back and groove as I do for a bassist with monster chops. It just depends on the setting.

It's all bass, but it's tapping, and sounds full and all. They are slow pieces, so the lack of instruments actually makes it sound better.

I'm broken.. I've recorded three days straight with my band. Well lets say it were actually 2 days, because we fukced up the first day (we did everything on our own). We tried to record everything seperatly, but then we didn't really got the feeling down. Now we've made some 'okish' records of four songs.

I'm broken.. I've recorded three days straight with my band. Well lets say it were actually 2 days, because we fukced up the first day (we did everything on our own). We tried to record everything seperatly, but then we didn't really got the feeling down. Now we've made some 'okish' records of four songs.

They only need to be mixed now.. After that, expect a whoringthread and I want that to be spammed (and also some listens to my band).
