ashdown... behringer is a knock off of the ashdown line, and their quality is known to be somewhat unreliable, and is known to have less of a tone quality. i had the behringer bx1200 which i wasn't that impressed with, but then i got an ashdown mag head and an avatar cab, and am shocked at the difference.

please please please please please! check out the ibanez SW series amps. They are great little units. I use the sw65 and would be happy to answer any questions you have, and almighty pancake has the sw65 and I'm sure he loves that amp as much as i love mine. If you are looking to gig i would opt. for the sw 100 amp.

well i think that they both seemgood with the specs. but i would go with the ashtown cuz it has a better name and rep. behind it also it seems like a good quality amp.

Behringer cabs are pretty good, I've got a 1x15 thats decent. But yeah, like the other guys are saying go with the ashdown.

I say ashdown. too many people say that behringer isnt too good and that ashdown are good amps. I used an ashdown the other day and it was really nice. Another thing though is the speaker sizes, 2 10" or 1 15"

The Ashdown for sure, they have much better quality control at the Ashdown factory.

the only reason i dont suggest the behringer is the potential of getting a lemon, but ashdown has them too.
as far as tone, they are both crap.
basically, if you get either, we'll probably be seeing you back in a few months w/ a very similar thread to this one.

Apples and oranges comparision. What sound are you looking for and for what use. One is a 2x10 and other is 1x15 totally different sounds.
I would say monitor Musician's Friend Clearance Center lots of good deal float through there if you monitor it.
I'd say figure out what your really want then be patient and keep your eyes open for a deal.

the ashdown also comes in a 2x10 so you could go that route as well

The fact that tone is subjective makes your post invalid. Many people will only need the Ashdown, while others will spill out loads of cash on other stuff to find their tone. What Ashdown gives you is reliability. Customer Service will take care of a possible lemon, and given the fact the threadstarter is on a budget, Ashdown will satisfy him.
To TS, I own an Ash, and I love it. I'm not saying its the best, but I personally have all the tone I need with it. I'd definitely recommend them to you, especially in your situation.

i honestly, haven't heard of any one complaining about behringers customer service, i have actually heard a few praise it.

Actually, you could just tell bbbbass that what people love is also subjective, so that makes his post invalid also.
Seriously people, alot of posts towards questions like this are going to be opinion. Telling someone that their post is invalid is basically telling them that their opinion is invalid. And telling them that their opinion is invalid is just plain ignorant.

yeah jp, you're right.
it just really pisses me off when people jump all over subjectiveness when u don't tag IMO onto everything you say.
