Yahoo Instant Messenger (YIM) has a conference fucntion so you can plug in your bass and pla ywith your friends.

You need to plug into the microphone input which should be in the back of the computer tower, but you'll probably need a 1/4 adapter.

If you select "voice conversation" in msn messenger you can jam simultaneously (at least two people)... At least it worked for me and my guitarist.

that's what my band does, it's only ever two of us though. we only ever do it when someone is having trouble learning a new song though....... which is still fun.
