After much painstaken work, here is the list of albums that made it to the poll rounds. If you need a reminder, here is how the polls will run:
Next will come round 1 of the polls. The 100 albums will be taken and split up into 10 groups of 10 and put into polls. Each of these polls will run for 3 days, with 2 being started, then the next day 2 more, so on. Once all these polls are through, we will move onto round 2. In round 2 the top 4 of the last 10 polls will be taken out for a total of 40 albums. These 40 will be divided into 4 polls of 10, run the same way as last time. Next is round 3, where the top 3 from the last polls will be taken for a total of 12 albums. These 12 will be divided into 2 polls of 6, run in the same fashion as the rest. Then for the finals, the top 2 will be taken and put into a poll of 4. This poll will last 3 days and will decided the final order.
The albums will then be compiled into the order and be kept secret for awhile. A list of all 100 bands will be posted and we will go through a dibs process to write little paragraph descriptions of the albums. These paragraphs will be published with the list.
To recap.

Yes.

It was nominated. Minor Threat technically have no albums (Out of Step while technically an album was considered a "really long 12" EP" by the band), so the Discography was allowed to be nominated.
Danger Bird
04-06-2006, 10:32 PM
Yeah, I guess it's the only way Minor Threat can really be represented, even if it kind of gives them an edge (pun).
Brain Toad
04-06-2006, 10:51 PM
Not really, if you put Out of Step vs other albums, it would still hold it's own fairly well, except more people have heard Complete Discog then Out of Step.

I cannot believe that both Propagandhi Todays empire tommorows ashes, and The specials s/t aren't through in the competition.
They were both very high on the list last time, Teta was #5 or something.

Oh, and I just discovered that Absurd Ditties is on it's way out too.

The top 4 from a poll has too little leeway for tough polls. Last time I did it top 4 and 10 highest others went through. The way Nick's done it, you get situations where Walk Among Us could beat Static Age despite the fact it got a lot less votes.
And eliminating an album which is obviously popular by a flick of a coin is retarded.
Henrik
04-08-2006, 09:07 AM
Yeah about the bouncing souls cd, I thing we should have had a separate voting between the two albums.

Nick, let's do a tiebreaker.

I didn't do one because people aren't voting, those last polls were closed an entire day early because no one gave a **** anymore, most of them were on the second page.
EDIT:
The rules of how I'd be running were up since the Nominations, you had all that time to suggest I was doing it wrong instead of waiting until we're on the last poll then bitching about it.

I can't believe how badly the Clash are doing. It is a disgrace. They are the best punk band of all time and their albums are doing poorly here. I hate Refused and propaghandi

It matters what Clash material you've listened to. If you've listened to pretty much everything and you say it sucks, than I guess that's just your opinion. But if you haven't, you should before you make up your mind.
