It's really exciting. I feel gay saying I like bootlegs, but when it's done good, they're fun. When it's ****ty microphone recordings or some other audience crap, you're being an elitist fag, but if it's soundboard or something similar, then I think it's justified.

Rites of Spring is okay. I'm always one to prefer to evolution of genres versus the original bands of a genre. Especially with punk stuff.

I think even compared to emo bands to follow, they were still original. They were way ahead of their time and still sound contemporary to me. They way they could have so much energy but be so melodic; be so hardcore but be so raw and emotional; be on the verge of tears but sound so angry; no band has ever matched that.
