Is it bad that I have never heard them, despite how much I have heard about them? I think I'll finally check them out.

Interestingly enough, the alt. country-pop darlings the Old 97's are weirdly intertwined with X (Exene sings on "4-Leaf Clover", John Doe plays guitar on Rhett Miller's solo album). Just a little geek trivia...
But yeah, X ****in' rule.

We have in our laundry room this beautiful signed picture of Exene that my mom took. It's inspired me to take concert photos, but I still have yet to here the band.

They were playing that festival on Sunset Blvd. in LA a couple years back with Love and a buncha other bands, if I remember correctly. I really wanted to see that. But I was leaving town.
In any case, very awesome band. I had "Cyrano de Berger's Back" stuck on my mind for while. I'm not sure why.
