Greetings all,as plainly as the title says.. i'd like some suggestions on good solid Wah pedals... and also recordings of Wah pedals that you ppl own.. i'm sorta leaning towards the Morley dual bass wah.. but i've yet to hear others.. so would be grateful to anybody who passes on some info and clips..

I use the Dunlop Bass Wah and Boss SYB-3 on "take what you need" around 1:10- www.myspace.com/leftbrainmusic
Personally, I am not crazy about the tone of this wah by itself. I use it for wide wah sounds now and then, and lately have been using it for tremolo type sounds (very fast small movements on it) and I like it for that.

I have the Dunlop Bass WahWah with like, the spring action thing goin on.
You kind of have to get used to how to use this pedal, though. When you press it down, it has to switch itself on since its got that spring action, and it has to also switch itself off, and theres a slight delay when it switches off, so you have to be careful. (basically you just need to remember where you need it, so you can account for the delay and switch it off a split second earlier if you need to)
BUT I use it in conjunction with a boss bass distortion in my band and I love the way it sounds. I'd like to try some different wahwahs eventually, but this one works just fine.
(if you want to listen, check out the song "Annihilate Yourself" here: http://www.myspace.com/killthqueen - I do a swell during the intro and a improv jam during the outro, both with the wah and distortion on.)

You might want to check out EBS WahOne pedal. It doesn't cut as much of the lower frequencies as other WahWah pedals often do. Personally, I prefer an envelope filter over a Wah, but like I said, if it's Wah you want, check it out.

hey, sorry to kinda high jack the thread, but it's relating to the topic. What's the real big topic between a normal wah and a bass wah? i mean could you use a normal guitar wah pedal and get out sounds that are closely related between the two?
i'm new to pedals and didnt think that topic needed a new thread, so thanks for the time

the main difference between regular wahs and bass wahs is that a bass wah can handle the frequencies that the bass puts out. you can use a guitar wah, but you'll loose alot of your bottom end, thusly ****ty bass tone.
dunlops 535q bass wah, you can dial in your own amount of wah so you can get it just ho you liek it.

digitech synth wah (autowah) is the first clip. the second clip is my dunlop crybaby 105q. pardon my playing i had just gotten back from outside and my hands were frozen. when i stop playing and start playing again is when i switch from the audowah to the crybaby.

dunlop is a great all around wah. i tend to use my digitech more though. It gets a more vowley/wet sound out of it.

I always thought my old Morley Power Wah sounded great, but it's hard to use because the frequency range is so huge. You have to keep the pedal in the range of where you're playing or else it doesn't really do anything. So it's best for ERB's or keyboards.

Whoa.. thanks for the great feedback guys... hmmm i'm still diggin on the PBA-2 cause i feel it has more low end compared to the dunlop or digitech ones.. with the EBS wahone coming in a close second... hmm but the Qtron plus seriously sounds great.. just for sudden moments would be great in songs! hahah thanks guys!
oh yea one more question isnt the Qtron+ originally a guitar pedal?
