I need some help. I need like a bass solo or something. I'll play any genre. So, help! It's for a music test, in case you were wondering.
P.S. Hi, I'm new.

Welcome to the forums.
An easy solo piece that I enjoy playing is "Amerika" by Jaco Pastorius. It's his rendition of America the Beautiful. I memerized it within two days so it's not like it's an insane piece to learn.

Head on over to MXTabs and do a search for the following artists:
Victor Wooten
Jaco Pastorius
Marcus Miller
What sort of difficulty level are you looking for?
Any difficulty really. And I have heard of these bassists before, but I just assumed that all of their pieces were a bit ... er ... insane.

If you want something heavy: Anesthesia (pulling teeth) by metallica
more funky: One of fleas bass solo's (from red hot chili peppers)
But these are just the popular choices, if you want something good try what ebe9 said! (and add Victor Wooten if you're in for a challenge ":P)

What level are you at? Because 'Chocolate Milk' by George Smed is a fantastique piece, but requires a good bit of experience in touchstyle, or tapping.
