alright folks, ive been working on it all day and its finally done!!
ive plugged it in and it is pure sex, i love the way this beast sounds! its got a little growl to it and ive got a tone knob! booyah, such a contrast to my hoppus bass!
i definetly need to thank JP for his help with wiring the lights on the back, i couldnt have done it without him.
specs:
Body: Alder
Neck: Bolt On. from warmoth. its a maple warmoth style neck with rosewood fretboard, 24 fret extension
Pickups: Lace Sensor Precisions
Bridge: Badass I
Paint: Custom black paint with blueish purple color changing in light. slightly metallic.
Electronic compartmet: all knobs are on the back of the bass, the jack is there too (strat jack plate so the cable doesnt get in the way), tone and volume knobs are inlayed in the body, whole compartment lights up green when plugged in
well see about some soundclips. i hope you all like it!!

Looks Awesome. One thing i will say though, I think it looks a bit odd how the shape is firstly quite symmetrical and secondly quite original. However the Headstock isn't and is a common shape. Apart from that it looks fantastic.
Good Job.

Jeronimofesto
04-02-2006, 07:09 PM
It's beautiful! Now all you need to do is make your own neck so that the headstock can match the wild body. It's really not that hard to do. Or you can buy one that lets you cut your own headstock. Then it would be perfect.

That looks great but the headstock bothers me. It just doesn't seem to fit the look of the bass. I agree with whoever said it was a symmetry issue. The body is symmetrical but the headstock is definately not. Get that sorted and it will be one hell of a good rock bass.

...
am i? uh, guy, i merely said i'd take the Devastator over a Kubicki, thereby...i stated my own opinion. then, i illustrated my opinion on Kubickis. i'm not "bashing" what he thinks.
I meant the forum in general, not really directed at you. But then again i remember everyone saying how much they liked the Kubicki and now that the Chris hating has started it gets constant flaming.
People on here like to follow the trends and its just ridiculous watching people bash the Kubicki just because they dont liek the user.
oh god, we're just giving him ****, just like he does to everyone who owns a bass he doesn't like.
i don't know about this "Chris hating"; but he brings it upon himself, and getting annoyed by him isn't a trend. it's called BEING ANNOYED.
"hmm, that bass would be ok if it were only to be used in cases of emergency firewood, LOL."
"that song needs more Jonas Hellborg."
"omg that guy thinks he's got skill but like...OMG HE SO DOESN'T TEEHEE LOL."
"i'd love to stay and argue but i must be over to Stu's by tea-time for his daily fellating."
but who cares right? he has every right to say the stupid **** he does, just like we're entitled to do the same. i'm really not understanding why it's so hard for you to grasp this concept...

Probably because i dont care about what he says :p
Im not trying to defend him or anything, but it means that i have to sift through **** loads of useless posts instead of just one or two.
you're going to have to deal with that regardless.^ it is MX after all.
now i'm going back to sleep.
