well today was the first time i ever got to use my gk 2001rbp preamp (its been siting in my room for ages). any way i was useing it through the pa at my band practice room.
the distortion tone was quite honestley the best distortion i have ever herd. it was smooth as **** but still mind blowingley powerfull. managed to have ball blasting distortion (to the point it was making your trousers vibrate 10 foot away from teh speaker) and still not loose the slightest bit of clarity. quite frankley it made my muff (wich i still love) look like a piece of **** thats not worth a penny.
the clean chanel was realy ****ing up the pa speakers and makeing them cracle like **** and was being realy overdriven and poo so i just bypased that most of the time but meh, im shure thatl be fine as soon as i put it through an actual bass amp (or if anyone knows why this may be id apreciate the advice.)
any ways im not going to say go out and buy one now (because it cost me £500) but seriousley if your looking for a preamp with a kickass distortion seting this is the way to go!
