I don't understand this. Somehow, I can diddle around with my RIGHT hand in traditional grip, but my left hand has no gimme. I have no idea how this happened. I've been playing with my new practice pad, and I can do rudiments with my right hand in traditional grip, but my left feels funky as hell, but I suppose that's how everything new feels. Any tips on getting used to this grip?

See, I knew I wasn't the only one. I don't know though. I can roll forever with my right in traditional and do a lot of rudiments with it that way but left handed or Traditona-traditional I guess is it, I just can't do anything very good. Slpooy as hell. My friends say if it feels good, do it. I haven't asked my teacher, but I'm gonna. I'll get bacl to you and see if it's wrong or sumthin

No, it isn't. I play reversed traditional when I do play trad.
Of course, I also lead with my left hand.

Hell, Billy Cobham played traditional with both hands at one point.....do what works for you.

I share this weirdness. Presumably, it's just a more dexterous right hand that is more able to twist itself into an unfamiliar shape whilst remaining flexible. My left hand's getting better though. Sometimes it even feels better in traditional grip than in matched.
