Hey all, I am considering buying this bass:

http://www.rondomusic.net/hxb405left35.html

Left handed 5-string basses seem pretty hard to come by, and its cheap and looks pretty (also hard to find in a left-handed bass). However, I have no idea what the quality of it is, and I can't try it out before buying. So has anyone here had any experience with these basses before? I've heard good things about the Agile guitars sold at rondo music, does this reputation extend to its Brice basses as well?

If I hear its your first time playing bass and your a lefty you can just adapt to playing right handed. I don't know though, Is this your first bass?

I'd already looked at HC but its only one review; I was hoping to get some more opinions.

Muggsy, I already play guitar left-handed so switching isn't very practical. I do wish I'd started right-handed though.

lol you could always buy a righty and switch the nut around?

You'd still have the knobs in the way, the bridge saddled would be all screwed up so your intonation would be HORRIBLE, etc.

No. I'm left-handed too, my first bass was a righty strung lefty. You have to turn the nut around, take the saddles out of the brdige and turn them around if you want to be able to intonate it, you have to unscrew the strap lock on the horn and drill on to the other horn, and you have to learn how to play without the knobs and the lead getting in you way. I do not recommend you go down this path..........

Take it from us lefties. Either learn righty or buy a lefty bass. :thumb:

Your name wouldn't be related to the emo band Occham's Razor, would it? The band on Grey Sky Records? :amaze:

If so, mad props to you...<3

That's what I did. Im a left handed person and 5 years ago when I started playing bass for my music class, I should have used a proper left handed guitar but since our school had only conventional right handed ones I was forced to learn that way and it was a little tougher than it should have been but I can play quite well now and Im very glad I play this way because of the advantages.
