Just a question for those who posted.
Dosn't this make you want to go rob a bank so you could get all of that stuff?
Ahh, when I get a job I'm going be getting a cymbal a week probably until I replace my factory cymbals, then it'll be cymbal/hardware for it every 2 weeks but I can't wait, my set (tama swingstar) will be the sickest set up you have ever seen once I get the cymbals and stuff, but right now I'm kind of thinking about instead of getting full Sabien B8's I might spend a little more, well a lot more, and get Bosphorus Gold cymbals but I'm not sure. But none the less, my set up will be lots of cymbals one way or another and I'll probably get 1 floor tom, and 1 snare drum, and have the floor tom by my current snare, and the snare by my current floor tom.

Sabian B8's my friend, so they arn't expensive but they are still good cymbals. The most I have seen a B8 for was $120 I think.
I'm wasn't talking about Bosphorus Gold's when I said cymbal a week.

Half Life
04-01-2006, 10:53 PM
To tell you the truth, B8's arn't that great man. If your going to be upgrading your whole setup and you only play at home, by yourself, and you DON'T do any shows...buy professional quality cymbals one at a time. It's much more worth it in the end. Otherwise, if you buy the B8's and deck your whole kit out with them, eventually you'll want something even better, and then spend even more money to redo your whole setup again...but then again, I guess it is your choice.

Well I have all the cymbals I want for the most part. But I'd trade
my current ride in and get a Zildjian 22" A custom ping ride. I've grown
to love that ride!

Then maybe a Tama Starclassic Bubinga kit, I'm really digging those
drums... A 13x11 Rack Tom, 16x16 Floor Tom, and a 20x16 Bass Drum. Keep it simple and somewhat small.

For a finish on that, some sort of natural wood finish with brass hardware or sumfin.

A new snare eventually. But I'm liking the Chad Smith right now.
