Hmmm....I dunno. Based solely on the playing I've heard probably either Billdrum or Matter. Based on technical knowledge and whatnot, probably Moogoo-whatever. Assuming those 3 are qualified to teach.

I don't know enough about anyone here to choose. Sure, some may be very good drummers, but that doesn't always mean they'd be good at teaching.

Agreed.

Maybe Drum Phil as well. He's just wicked cool, But If he give me lessons, I would suck. I don't have 14 feet for his foot percussion.

I take lessons from 3 different people on a semi-monthly basis. One of the best things you can learn how to do is teach yourself though, books, ideas, etc Pushign yourself in controlled and creative ways.

thanks, guys-who-mentioned-me. I'm flattered..

I'd have to say that I'd want to take a lesson with DBJ, cause I've never interacted with the guy, except his little passing comments here and there. I'd like to see what he's actually like... from his profile, I imagine as this big cuddly bear of a guy.

If I could pick a drum teacher off here it be either Josiah or Matter. Both of them are excellent players and it really showed in the MXD&P Pro drumsolo comp.

They'd get quite a bit of money if they implemented that law, given voter turnout was something like 56%. On the other hand, people would then vote Conservative out of spite. That is, more than they did last time.

I'd have no clue who to go to, we have such an abundance of people here that 'well qualified' don't really describe enough! jos dbj and matter andy and bill and moogy all sort of come to mind when think drums/knowlege..

And this is why democracy doesn't work. Because we give everyone the choice to vote. You should all be forced to vote :p

Depends on the country's government. You get fined in Australia, but I don't think you get fined in England.

The USA doesn't force voting upon people, does it?

Australia, yes, definantly

Josiah
04-03-2006, 04:29 AM
Nope.

Forced voting is not very smart either. If someone is forced to make choices against their will they may not make very good ones.

Secondly, not voting is a vote. I don't vote for president. Why? Because the choices blow. It's my vote.. my say, to stand up and say - I'm not choosing any of these.

Then I didn't.
