Daily Upload - April Edition

March was even more incredible than February! In February, we had 333 uploads and 1786 posts which was great. In March we had 336 uploads and 2570 posts!!! I want to thank everyone that contributed to the thread and especially those that spent the time uploading and doing write-ups. I really need a headbanging smiley, you guys rock! :thumb:

If your new to the mailing list concept, here's how it works:
Every day or so an email will be sent out to everyone on the list. In the email will be links to albums that have been uploaded by you, your fellow MXers, and myself. We will all have the benefit of hearing bands we might never have been exposed to.

If you would like to be on the mailing list, post your email address and then contribute to the discussion as you receive the emails. Posting ONLY your e-mail address without leaving a comment will NOT be tolerated. It's not hard to say "Thank you" or something else along those lines, but do NOT just put down your e-mail address, or you'll be passed over.

Do NOT re-post your address if you are already on the list

This is a forum after all, so please post comments and discuss the music that you have downloaded. If you never post in the thread I will remove you from the list. DO NOT come in the thread complaining that you aren't getting the emails anymore if you've been sent links for 150 albums and haven't bothered to post anything!

If you would like to contribute, please upload using one of these services: http://www.yousendit.com http://www.megaupload.com http://www.rapidshare.de http://www.uploading.com
Yousendit has the best download speeds but the links expire after 25 downloads. If you use YSI, please upload more than once. I suggest doing two YSI links and one using another service.
If you upload something for the mailing list, please include a description of what you've uploaded as well as the links. Reviews and links to band websites are great to go with an album. Please at least include the genre!

I have moved the Upload History and the Requests to a website. You can actually search for an album or artist to see if it has already been uploaded. Please check back here frequently. I will update it every day or so to try staying on top of the requests. The Requests are also searchable and listed in alphabetical order.

also, to anyone who downloads anything i've uploaded: tracks don't have numbers in the file-names, so you have to put them in a media player library to get them in the right order. it's just the way they copy off my Zen that does that to them.

i get that with all rapidshare links. go to this (www.hidemyass.com) link, free proxy list, do what it says, then download the file. i get a really really slow download speed when i do that though :(

Yeah basically. Try to fulfill requests before uploading anything else though... and Oz will say in the email whether he can handle any more requests for the time being most of the time, cuz he can only send out 10 at once. Welcome to the Daily Upload :)

What I do is right-click then go to properties, find it's location. Copy the location and paste it into the uploading site's browsing button thing.

The way I put them into a zip folder, is that I find the original folder the file is in. Then I rightclick SEND TO and then click COMPRESSED (zipped) FOLDER.

We once upon a time had a whole bunch of mailing lists and it culminated where somone sent out 220 albums and put people on the list that didn't ever subscribe (including mods)... The Mods shut down all the mailing lists except this one and asked that it be limited to 10 albums per day...

The 10 per day could be anything but I won't count re-ups from the previous day or missed links
