Okay.. so i'm being real daring here to make a thread of one of the most mainstream hard rock bands ever.
Papa roach imerged in year 2000 as a rapcore band and released the single 'last resort' which got many radio listeners crazy over them. By 2002 they released another album called 'love hate tragedy', which did not appeal to people as well as infest because the dropped the 'rap' thing and started going rock and roll. The next album 'Getting away with murder' was completely different from their previous releases. Completely dropping the nu-metal image they went soft on songs like 'scars' which annoyingly get overplayed over the radio.
like most p-roach like most nu-metal bands have evolved, but this band has surprisingly managed to stay alive and appeal to the mainstream .

You will be lucky to not get flamed.

But, I do like some PR, LHT being thier best album. I really think Getting Away With Murder was a horrible downstep for the band, and I will be surprised if they survive very much longer.

LoveHateTragedy had some decent lyrics, but that's part of what makes it thier best album by far.....the first one seemed like an effort to impress, and the new one seems like a failed effort at musical evolution.

I liked Infest a good amount, not the other stuff as much. they are supposed to be fantastic live though.

Infest was one of the first rock CD's I bought. I tried listening to it pretty recently, and I couldn't even sit through a whole song.

Also, I agree, terrible lyrics.

they're alright, decent at best, i have all of their albums from Infest onwards, Infest is the best out of it

one interesting fact is jacoby quit drinking , just compare the difference between the first two albums and GAWM and live vids in 2000 compared to the ones in 2005. Honestly they look better in 2000

I hated people who drove around in cars blasting 'Last Resort' through subs dressed in homey gear when it was new.

I've never hated this band but never loved them either. They are alright.

Yes there is.

That's not where I got it from though.

I'm a nice guy most of the time. I'm very intense and have quite an aggressive personality. Not to mention my VERY bad temper.

My charm which I can turn on, when I really need to is what saves me. :p
