as for words/symbols in context... excellent point. essentially, they mean nothing until we (or history) apply context. some are more offensive than others, and what's wonderful about freedom is that you can say/post anything you want.

Not that I'm too offended by being called white...I just say "yeah...I'm white. You know why? I have a slight idea. It's got something to do with my not having a lot of melanin in my skin. How about that?" Coincidently, those people usually don't talk to me again. Hmmm... Lots of US History is about white people because white people founded this country. It took a white guy to come over here and kick the indians off the land. And it took white people to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
