It's a lame trailer. Comes out in less than a month though.

When the cops finally forced their way through the crowd at the very last Refused show, it seemed a fitting end to a story of revolutionary romanticism and merry rebellion. Refused was the greatest promise punk rock was making. Was that promise of redemption fulfilled in this act of repression or was it just another installation in the neverending soap opera of authority vs. kids? In this undaunred documentary, Refused guitarist Kristofer Steen retraces the steps of how punk rock's brave new sound forged it's way through the swamps and swill on their last campaign in Europe and America, rushing like mad dogs to meet with their inevitable doom.

i'm just wondering what happened to not glorifying or celebrating what refused were, demanding magazines burn all their pictures, ect. i'm glad we're getting this, but it doesn't seem to fit the views they held.

Wow. Waiting a month for this is going to be hard. I'm really curious as to what all of this is actually going to be. I thought at first it was just video footage and stuff... but now it seems like a documentary?

My sister had it ordered it in from a music store and they made up some bull**** story about how we need to wait another 3 weeks for them to make more copies....:angry: so I haven't seen it yet, but a friend in Sydney has and he said it was ****ing awesome.

yeah, but i mean they specifically announced they wouldn't glorify the past. i guess their contract with burning heart wasn't up yet or something.

That sucks, we here in the states have to wait one more week for the dvd, but im pretty sure it should be worth it. So they have to press more for the people in Austrailia? Wow must be one hot seller.

Haha no that's the reason why I'm so annoyed, because they don't really have to press more.
There's only one music store where I live and they are too lazy to order anything good in, they just make up stories so they don't have to, so it looks like I'll have to get it off the internet. :mad:

Perhaps the DVD should be seen as another part of the refused. Like another album, rather than a gloryifiing finalé. I think that the idea of trying to take yourself from history through fear of being misunderstood, is selfish. I look forward to this film.

I bought the DVD a couple of weeks ago. The document is ok but quite short. The live songs are all from the last album and are mostly bad quality (audio has been recorded only with camera mics). I saw them years ago doing some live songs from Everlasting on a Swedish tv-show with good audio quality. There must be much more stuff like this, wonder why they did not include it in the DVD. Old interviews would have been fun to watch also.

So basically the DVD is quite a disappointment after all the waiting. The low price compensates a little bit though (19,95 EUR in Finland).
