ive never seen a thread dedicated towards this band (link me if there was one earlier). So rather then trying to dig out an old thread if there was any, i thought lets start a new one for all fans like myself.
Discussion can relate to what are your favourite songs, and what bands sound similar to "A Wilhelm Scream" that we all might enjoy.

At the time we were Dead End Generation, but we have since changed our name to Doomsday on Broadway since there are a crap load of bands called Dead End Generation. We opened for them when they played at Mad Planet with the Blackout Pact. April 23rd we're opening for Leftover Crack there.

oh legends, all good replies im impressed.
Ive heavily been into Mute print im glad u mentioned Ruiner, i dont think i have heard any of the songs off it. Ill have to look into grabbing the cd.
Fav songs for myself would have to be:
retiring
the rip
famous friends and fashion drunks
and i guess you can add catharsis for dummies it does tend to stay in your head.
In relation to other bands, im a big fan of rise against, strung out, thrice, afi, bad religion etc the fast tempo i guess wins me with these guys.
Ruiner is going to be a definate buy.:thumb:

Ruiner and Mute Print are both fantastic albums. Benefits of Thinking Out Loud is good too, just not as good. Trevor Reilly is a musical genious.

I was skeptical as to whether or not I'd like this band, then my friend sent me "Famous Friends and Fashion Drunks" and I was hooked.
My favourite songs are The King Is Dead, The Kids Can Eat A Bag Of Dick, and every single song on Mute Print.

The second time I saw them they played with H2O. For those of you who don't know, H2O is from NYC, and they commented a couple times about AWS being cool even though they were Sox fans. Anway, during the middle of H2O's set, one of the guys from AWS hung a Red Sox flag above the stage. Of course, being in NY, most people booed, but it was still awesome.
I'm a Red Sox fan, so I found it hilarious. Overall it was a great night.

This great thread can't die. AWS is the best band around to date. Mute Print is better than Ruiner. I recon it's got better songs and a more taste of what I assosiate with "A Wilhelm Scream". Ruiner is the best album of 2005 though, so don't get me wrong, it is an awesome album for sure.
Anyone who hasn't seen this band live and gets the chance after reading this post should not think twice before attending that show. They are amazing live. No bullcrap.

The only thing I would say was sloppy when I saw them live were their vocal harmonies, and that was because their former bassist curtiss cant sing for shi.t
