Great band.

Stabwound is my favorite song. I love the sweeps/leads/solos in it.

I might Necrophagist in may. If I get unlazy.

Quite frankly they'd be one of my favorite bands if OoP's lyrics weren't so abysmally bad.

I can't listen to them too much. I liked them when I'd just heard a couple of tracks, but when I got round to buying an album and listening to the whole thing I realised that, to me, that sound gets very old very fast. So I would say they are talented, but ultimately boring. I can see why people worship them though.

They're aight. The Powertabs are fun to listen to.

i really really like them but as everyone else said it can be hard to listen to a full album without getting a little bored

i actually just listened to most of epitaph on the way home just now

there are far better tech metal bands that arent tech death, though - canvas solaris = amazing

Yeah, its on their reissue of Onset of Putrifaction.

Why the bashing of the vocals, they might not be as listenable as James Hetfield or something but in the world of death metal, his voice is very deep and powerful.

I used to really like them, but I've grown bored or them. I won't deny that Suicmez is an ace guitarist though. Also, I find Onset of Putrefaction better than Epitaph.

Yeah tbh I never liked them at first, but I've gotten used to them now, and I really like them, same with Nile.

Nile I used to hate, then I liked them, now I don't anymore. They bore me.

that would be the 95' demo...

necrophagist > almost everything... IMO they are one of the few bands that can make that many notes per bar sound musical, original, and interesting... they never get on my nerves or grow tiring.

I love all their songs...my fav atm is poobably ignominious and pale...

At first i found it kinda hard to listen to them. Now i really like them. The pack so much into one song it makes them seem long even though they aren't. Awesome band. Intestinal Incubation kicks ***.

One of my all time inspirations when it comes to playing guitar. Absolutely love them. I couldn't even say my favorite song by them, they are so amazing. I love all of their songs. Might be seeing them April 28th hopefully.

I really like Necrophagist as well. I find Epitaph to be better though. On Onset, the band really abuses the diminished arpeggio/scale. It's far more repetetive, and of course the godly drumming and bass playing on Epitaph are a deciding factor. Anyway, I'm hopefully seeing them in July when they come to Canada.

I'll probably see them too when they come to London, my friend wants to so I'll go with him.

Necrophagist are technical and definately have the skill. They have cool songs but they bore me after a while.

I'll be seeing them on June 6th (06/06/06... lol), they'll be playing with Arsis too. Necrophagist will be pretty intense live... their live videos are great.

4 Dates? There better be more added... I'm nowhere near those cities. People always seem to forget about the west part of Canada.

Thats my birthday.

I was just listening to Necrophagist.. I love the music, but I'm not a fan of the vocals. I tolerate them though.

yeah... people always seem to forget Ottawa too... most bands go from montreal to toronto without thinking of Ottawa. OUR TIME HAS COME!!

I loves me some Necrophagist. I just wish they'd come close enough to me so I could see 'em live. In terms of technicality, Muhammed is God.
Epitaph > Onset

I have Epitaph and love it. I can understand how some people can get sick of listening to them after a while, but I just love the never ending off beat rhythems and sweep-picked solos.

I think Epitaph has a bit to much wank, making Onset better, IMO. The technical parts on Onset are perfect...
