Ok I can take out audio fairly easily. Why not wait a month for this solo comp to die down and get more people intrested.

Backing track comp? Like get people from the guitar and bass forums to make backing tracks that we jam to?

ludvista... I'm sure you might be able to help, but I'd let Josiah be in charge of this one. He talks to the admins alot more and can monitor this a lot easier. Just wait and see what he has to say.

I'd say we get together a list of songs that we can find backing tracks to [everyone send the MIDI/MP3/ect.. to one user] and then vote it down to a selection of maybe 5 different songs. that way people of different levels and styles can have a go. and then we vote on the best of each song.

I'll record stuff on my keyboard without drums?

I have a suggestion, you should have a couple of different songs all in different genres so it'll be like a big competition where you get to listen to more then 1 song 100 times. Like you have a fast swing tune, a funky bass line in odd time sig, a dance song, heavy metal etc.

I'm not the official anything of comps.. ha the last one I did a hitler theme'd solo. imagine the music I would pick....

Haha nah, doesn't matter to me. I'd like to see some more funk groove based stuff myself.

This sounds sweet! im in on this if it happens. Definately more than one genre though. Get different categories for different genres going, that would be sweet.

nah... it needs to be one uniform track. Something from "turn it up and lay it down"
Just something generic that can be easily interpereted many ways
