hey

I bought some practice pads from musician's friend.com for my set. they work OK, but seem to make everything into a really loud bassy kick drum sound. i used to have a pearl snare with a much harder practice pad that was very quiet, it was more of a hard rubber with a "roof" than a soft material like the musicianfriend.com pads.

Can anyone recommend some practice pads that are very quiet or "rubberized", or something like that? Thanks

Vic Firth makes quiet rubber pads that absorb the sound pretty well.

I wish I had one that made more noise. I have one of those 7 inch rubber vic firth ones. I like hearing how clean my hits are rather than feeling them...

lol thats so funny, it reminds me of the time my mate drop kicked this little kid off his bike. My mum gets annoyed like will you shut up, when im playing on my practise pads and i just say, lol making no noise defeats the point and you should of thought of that before you agreed to buying me a drum kit.
