Okay i have decieded that im going to go with the fender jag (as long as my dad can cough up for it wich he says he can) and i was wonder wut kind of strings i should throw on there. Now i know this is going to sound lame but i want a twang kinda sound to it (with out slaping) resembling the kinda sound from the white stripes (not the bass work in the white stripes but the overal sound). and yes i know the white stripes has no bassist.

Of all the bands you could say you want it to sound like, you have to pick the one without a bass player?

if u want twang, grab some D'addario Prosteels,
The DR Marcus Miller Sigs....
and then if u feel like spending cheese go elixirs... but i hate elixirs, they do have twang.
I use D'addario Prosteels, when i cant get those i go D'addario Nicklewounds. BEST STRINGS on the planet. If i ever get sponsored by D'addarrio, im going to ask them to make me 2 custom string sets, EXTRA EXTRA LIGHT, and EXTRA EXTRA HEAVY.

There's definitely bass on the White Stripes recordings.

There's definitely a guitar with an octave pedal on the White Stripes recordings.

I totally am inventing strings that sound liek the White Stripes. Of course no one would buy them, because the White Stripes sound like dieing animals.
