hi all, I'm trying to decied between get a ESP LTD Viper 104 4-String Bass Guitar http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Bass/Electric?sku=516649
or a ESP F-104 4-String Bass http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=516771. I'm a guitarist and i play a little bass and i was wanting to get one so i could record bass for my album. I play metal,heavy metal, and some metalcore. Any help is apreciated, Thanks:thumb:

I would go for the viper, but that purely on looks.

Try looking in the CORT and IBANEZ range as well.

The Viper is a really good bass, even though I'm not a fan of the looks.. It has alot in common with Ibanez in tone and playability. I'd recommend it if you like the looks!

Ok, i'll check out some Cort basses but yeah, i love the looks of all the viper guitars and basses.

go with the sep 104 it is a great bass! i love it but i think its metal tone goes even better when you make it a 5 banger (esp F-255) wich is a bass ive been drooling over for a long long time. i asked my friend to sell me his but he doesnt sell any of his guitars, but he offered to get me a great deal at his store.but becuase i like playing stuff from indie to rockabilly ive almost completly ruled out that bass for a fender jag or fretless. but that doesnt mean its a bad bass. it is a crazy good one! id just recomend the 5 banger to the 4.

yeah it's nice alright but i'm pretty much limited to $300. But there are alot of good basses that i could get for that much.

I'd get the viper, the only F series I've played that sounded good where the expensive ones.
