Though its worth pointing out that those hohner tom arms are horribly unversitile, i just cant get descent positions on my toms with them, they pretty much have to be angled if i want them within good reach.

Yeah, its worse when they aren't on eBay. You see the only reason they are like that, is so that the seller thinks its easier for the buyer to see what he/she is getting. these shouldn't be classed as "hoyl" tom angles. They are a method of selling.
