aight, i dont know cuz ive never heard him play but i guess he sux, horribly. i think he should just practise consistancy of all the songs he learns but he says that isnt it so im trying to give him so great riffs to learn for warm ups. i need a lil variety between tremelo picking, fingertaping, vibratos, and good fretboard coverage.

You've never heard him play but you guess he sucks? Maybe you should listen to his playing and find out why he sucks, if he does infact suck.

warm up begginer stuff. im sure he already knows the basics hes been playing for a year so how he wouldnt know this stuff already is funny.
as to the tremelo picking statement. you havent heard of many tremelo picking bassists. i guess my area is just funny cuz thats wut everyone does for metal riffs.
and for the running around "helping" statement he asked me for some stuff he could do to help his playing. and im trying the best i can. and since im a good friend of his and a fairly decent bassist, im gonna but i ran out of ideas. and hes info hungry. so shove it.

why... its not like he/she is going to find out.
the riff from rearranged by limp bizkit is a nice little warm up,
Californication by the chili peppers
Last Goodbye by jeff Buckley
anything form Zero 7 isnt insanely hard, but very creative and groovey, he'll love the riffs, and love the fact that he can play them, its a great confidence builder.

Dig up threads about beginner songs...we get them all the time. They should help. Hell, tell him to get an account here and start reading/posting. That'll help him way more in every way possible. :thumb:
