This thread is the progression of my setup since i've joined this forum, which i've gotta admit, you guys have helped me alot. I even got rid of my Ahead drumsticks as i finally realised that they make the cymbals sound so dull...

Nice. Don't like the tape though - try moon gel.

Yeh i know guys, i'm definately planning to upgrade cymbals, the duct tape will be gone soon, and actually the solar sounds pretty good to be honest, it will be replaced though :) I'm just trying to get a new job, so my cash flow is pretty low at the moment..

Not everyone can afford the best to start off with though... Tape is ok, as long as it's used minimally, which doesn't seem to be the case here.
Nice kit, definitely has gone through some changes ;)

Nice looking kit man! Is that a pro-m or a an m-birch (or something else)? I like the finish (I have the same one on my Sonor 3005's.) Nice set up though. Nice and clean. Get those cymbals all upgraded and you'll be set.

It is  That's what I thought at first. Instead of having 3 rack and 1 floor tom he now has 2 and 2...

Nice, but change the setup to 3 racks and 1 floor, much better and easier to use.

I want to do that but im not sure whether i want 8", 10", 12", 13", 16" or 10", 12", 13", 14" (or 15" or 18" instead) and 16".

i actually never got the concept of putting tape on the toms, why do so?
thats a big progression and i very much like the setup you have. all you gotta do is upgrade those cymbals and you'll be set for life!(a couple years actually)

When I'm done I hope to have:
9x10", 10x12", 12x14", 14x16" and 16x18" toms... It all depends on the sounds you'll want. Is an eight-piece out of question? You could get the best of both worlds.
