Wow.

I watched this a week ago, and my god I loved it, so watched it again today. I had never seen a full-length animé film before, so thought I should and by god I'm glad I did. I guess i'll now be seeing 'Sprited Away' and 'Princess Mononoke' now.

I doubt i'll ever be an obessed fan of these movies, but the visuals just intranced me completely throughout and there's a lot to drag out from the somewhat straight-foward plot; which still works well.

Just wondering opinions on these movies, especially Miyazaki's work and recommendations, as surely there must be a lot of crap amongst the gems.

Yeah Spirited Away is a good flick. Haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle yet, may see if i can get my hands on it now.

The only anime I've ever seen and enjoyed is Princess Mononoke and that was only half of it but I thought it was wonderful. I'm not too keen on any other anime I've seen (mostly TV series). But Princess Mononoke is a great movie, I'll have to check out his other films after I see all of Princess Mononoke.

I bought this for my friend a week or two ago and we love it. Most people seem to prefer Spirited Away, so you'll definitely want to check that out.

I love it! Miyazaki is a wonderful storyteller.

Also check out Grave of the Fireflies with the other two you mentioned.

After that, just rent anything by Hayao Miyazaki.
