so lately my problem is that i have this massive blister on my hand due to my sticks...the blister is seriousally 3" long...I was thinking if gloves will prevent this from happening..Ive tryed football and baseball gloves before and i have no grip with them....What are some gloves that will stop blister, but not loose my grip with the stick??

If you feel you really must have somthing to stop it instead of building up a calise on your hand, buy some of those fabric plasters that you cut into strips and just wrap it around any effected area.

Don't get gloves. You'll look dumb. And they're not worth the money. You'll eventually develop a calous (sp?) and won't get blisters anymore. For now, if just try some athletic tape or something.

I suggest to just carry on playing without gloves, you should get by alright.

you must be holding your sticks severely tight. The only time I had ever gotten a blister was when I started playing traditional. I didn't feel at ease just letting the stick bounce around so I held it tight against my fingers... so it blistered and then callused(that's the correct spelling for everyone).
Just loosen up... blisters are a sign of bad technique

Put some electrical tape on it, Thats what I did when I had those Zildjian sticks with the rubber.

you develope calousts or however you spell it if u just keep playiong witht hem like that then you don't get blisters at all anymore. don't bother with gloves.

i used to get blisters allt he time when i started, so i bought those zildjian gloves (just so my hand could heal). unfortunately, they all destroy your grip on the stick. Your hands will toughen up eventually

I'd only advise gloves if you have a pretty severe grip problem and keep loosing your sticks. Other than that, just carry on and eventually the blisters will go away. But keep playing, even when you have blisters. It may hurt a bit but they shall form calouses eventually.

The only good explanation I heard of someone using gloves was from Josh Eppard. His problem was that his hands got REALLY REALLY sweaty and slippery, so he had to tighten up his grip so the wouldn't slip. So to solve that problem, he uses gloves.

You are gripping your sticks incorrectly. I used to hit too hard holding the sticks too tight. I stopped. No more blisters.

Only use gloves if you have issues losing sticks due to sweat.

Otherwise just wait for callouses.

The only reason I'd wear gloves is if I had really sweaty hands.

That is so funny. But gloves are for losers who cant play drums.

So I am asumming you mean, Chris Adler, Jason Bittner, Tommy Lee, Jimmy Degrasso, Matt Mcdonough, John Tempesta, Vinnie Paul, Tico Torres, Rick Allen, among others are all losers who cant play drums?

i got blisters pretty bad on my right hand when i was extending my arm a ways out to my ride while playing blast beats... i was pretty sure it wasnt from bad technique.. but after getting blisters for about a week or two, a calous developed, so my advice is to go ahead and skip out on the gloves...

I wear gloves and I find them really good. I dont have as many blisters since I changed my grip but I like to wear my gloves. Theyre really comfortable as well :D

If you have blisters, get a needle, heat it up and poke it through the side of the blister so all the liquid comes out. Then DO NOT put a plaster on it, leave it how it is and try to stop drumming for a day or two otherwise it will come straight back within minutes of playing

He has them on Killadelphia.

If you dont have grip buy an extra pair of sticks and put some electrical or grip tape on them.

I've never really gotten blisters, my hands have callauses where i hold sticks. You must be holding the sticks too tight, but AHEAD makes drumming gloves that a lot of drummers i've seen use. Also try Neumann tackified gloves like Vinne Paul uses
