Yesterday, I bought an Ibanez at Guitar Center, and I really love it. It looks great and sounds awesome except for one little detail. I think something is loose on the head, and I can't figure out what it is. If I ring an open string, you can hear something on the head rattling, or simply if you shake the bass you can hear something in the top rattling.
I've held down all of the tuning pegs and it's not them that's loose. I'm pretty sure that whatever it is, is inside the bass. Maybe a small piece of the truss rod snapped off inside?
I called guitar center, and they told me to take it in today and they'll fix it.
My question is, how serious do you think this is? If you know what's wrong, do I even have to take it in? or could I fix it myself.
