For everyone who knows what the ibanez gsr 190 (jumpstart guitar) it could use some new pickups i was wondering if these would do the trick they got the p/j and the bridge in one set. Will it enhace my jazzy sound as well as my other tone i know nothing about pickups.....will this even enhance jazz sound at all? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=bass/product/reviews/base_pid=302285/rpp=10/

They will give you a much nicer tone than the stock ibanez pickups. Dimarzio are a very good brand and those pickups are great.

Jazz, however, doesnt really have a universal sound. They will fit in great, though, with whatever genre you want to play with them in.

i figured this was the right place to ask my question. i'm a intermidiate but not very wealthy bassist. but, i finally might have some money to throw around. i'm going to detassle this summer, (i live in nebraska) and i'm hoping i'll get some good money from that. and i was wondering if the Boss ME-50B Bass Multiple Effects with COSM is a good choice for bass effects. here's the site that i'm looking at.

Tehyoungone- Im sure thoes pickups will do wonders for you. i picked up myself a set it EMGhz PJ pups and they are much more puncy than my stock whatevers. I really dont think you can go wrong.

Systemfreak79- That is a very good pedal. i have the Boss GT-6B and it has way too many features. witch can be a good and bad thing. the ME50 sounds like great and you really cant go wrong with boss. if you know you looking for a modeling pedal, that id say is your best bet. if your looking for certain effects. just go out and buy that effect.
